The Mormon Bridge Omaha Nebraska
This is a collection of photographs, including aerial photos, of the historic Mormon bridge over the Missouri River at Omaha Nebraska. The bridge connects Omaha Nebraska with Council Bluffs Iowa via Highway Interstate 680 (I-680).
The history of the bridge dates back to I864 when a ferry across the Missouri river, in this location, was operated by the Mormons or members of the Latter Day Saints on their journey to the West. Subsequently this dual carriage, two span, bridge was eventually completed in 1979 and became part of the Highway I-680.
